Nice looking place. I was going to build like that at the new place but I just don't see myself having the time to take care of that wood although it is absolutely beautiful!!! That is your house too I assume.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, this is for my Dear and my Deere. It will eventually be our home. We have been working on it since last October. Some of the work I have contracted, concrete slab and plumbing, framing, and roofing. My dear and I are trying to do as much of the rest of it that we can. My Deere has also been put to use. It has been used to lift materials up to the 2nd floor, the FEL has ben used as a work platform, when my son was putting on the metal roof he tied his safety line off to it, plus several other uses. We came up with a floor plan but we have made many changes. Walls and doorways have been moved, windows have been framed and then changed, etc. The siding is finished 2x12s that were cut to 1x12 with the cut side out to give it a little texture. It has been sprayed with sealant to try to keep it from discoloring.
