What I cant understand..??...is "supposidly" ( this is what Im told...) there is no delivery charge with AG fuel..with a 350 gal min purchase..BUT...with home heating oil..its only a 200 gal purchase?? ( up until this spring..it was 350 gal for heating oil also). Dont make a bit of sense to me??
Do I detect the opportunity for a huge profit margin? Looks like it to me.

Not only that, they can adulterate it with gasoline and make another 10%-20% profit too!

Are they the same price too? In the northeast, "True" home heating oil is about $0.20 per gallon cheaper wholesale than dyed diesel. That's because they are different with the diesel having more additives and such.
Mad,

That's a timely question because I actually had that discussion with the driver when he dropped my load - I was inquiring because I needed fuel for the torpedo heater.

No, they aren't the same in price - at the time of my delivery the driver said HHO was about $0.20 MORE expensive than O/R diesel. He gave some reason why it was that way (which I don't recall offhand) ..... but then stated it was kind of a rip-off (like he didn't buy it.)

BTW, the difference in price between regular O/R and premium O/R was $0.02/gal. ...... I figured for $3 (for 150 gallons) it was good insurance.

Here in southern Ohio...its all the same stuff. Home heating oil = AG #2 diesel fuel.

In south central Mass where as a consultant I set up a oil distribution company last year, one of their major customers is a short line railroad. All of the fuel they use in their locomatives is #2 heating oil. In that area, #2 heating oil is sold as off road diesel.
