New horse, new career options

Today we took delivery of the newest member of our expanded family, a Clydesdale. She's 7, named Sarah and weighs a ton, literally. My plan is to get seven more, a wagon and hitch and a whole bunch of beer and make deliveries. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Kind of an alternative career. I'll get a picture up when the weather and my camera allow. Wish I had a digital one!

BTW - do you fish? I have HEARD that the Mascoma is pretty good fly fishing in parts...

I also heard that a pretty good storm came through there this last weekend. Keep the stove stoked, and watch that ice...

Could be about any kind but AB product would be traditional. Actually my wife is going to work on getting her to pull a cart and we'll see where that goes. This came about partly after going to the draft horse show at the American Royal last fall. I highly recommend going to such a show if you haven't been, especially if you can go down to the stalls and stand there when a 6 or 8 horse hitch goes by. Very impressive.

I haven't stopped thinking about getting another tractor. You're right, the need just increased, especially for one with a loader.
Above I mentioned going to a draft horse show. I even enjoy the jumper category in addition to western etc. Don't tell my wife this, but I get just as big a kick out of watching the boys work the footing with the brand new JDs and that fancy soil conditioner. Kind of like watching the Zamboni.

Yep got a nasty little mix bag storm Sunday. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Mascoma river in some areas are for fly fishing only,and when stock by the state people are everywhere trying.

Just outside of Newport,NH there a river call sugar river...heard that darn good fly fishing..maybe you know the area.

Heck haven't gone fishing for many of years..heck my motto always have been when the bugs bite more than the fish I don't fish.

I believe Bird had a idea while back..something like attaching his fish pole to his FEL. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
