New house

Charlie,

Your house is looking great. Looks like you hit the same kind of rock I did when digging our basement. It is interesting to see the different construction methods used in different areas. Where your basement walls were formed and poured mine were blocked and the blocks filled, which is what is normally done in this area.

Keep the pics coming!

Yeah Charlie,
I for one am enjoying the pictures and the story. It's neat to see how others are doing their house. There are a bunch of us guys right now who have started building. So it's good to see how things are done in different parts of the country. My thread has come to a screeching halt because the logs are not in yet. So I had to post a bunch of boring pictures about clearing. Talk about a drag....at least on your thread and David's and the others I can see some progress.:)

I'm not sure that many people are interested in my pic's. I'm not very good at telling the story.

Charlie

Keep the pictures coming, we love pictures.

Charlie, looks very nice! Just don't cut any more trees down, you will have more grass now than you can cut in a week! Like the view coming up to the front of the place.

Sure looks like allot of fun!!!!! I just love when a the framing comes together and you start to get an idea of how it's gonna look. Is your wife walking through the rooms, and imagining where she'll put furniture and decorate? hahaha

One day we'll build our dream home, but until that day, it's sure nice to follow along with others on their builds.

What are you using for siding?

I love that view of the bay window above the basement. It is gonna look nice. Isn't it funny when they first lay out the perimeter of the house on the ground it looks small? And when they have the footings and framing up it looks huge.
