double wow:cool:

From the build & price

$385 for tractor side + $244 Imatch (can be retrofitted to exisitIng IMatch) + $165 - $270 for each attachment - so far rotary cutters & tillers.

That's slick. Pretty pricey, but slick. The tractor side isn't bad at all, but $165-270 per implement is what would kill you. ;O)

I'd buy that for my MX6 in a second. Where do I sign?

Then neither you nor your dealer watched RFDTV last night (6/18/07) with the Live John Deere hour. That was one of the new products featured on the program.

Looks like the new PTO connector (autohitch), for the moment, only works with certain CUT tractors. They have a compatability chart, and I was surprised to see that the 5000 series are not currently (doesn't mean they won't ever be) compatable. I think even the 990 was not currently comptatble. A quote from their FAQ on the autohitch:

Does iMatch AutoHitch work on 5000 Series tractors?
While a 5000 Series tractor can be set up to work with Category 1 implements, John Deere has not tested the AutoHitch on 5000 Series tractors; therefore, they are not currently compatible.

the link on currently compatable tractors, if I did it right:http://dlrdoc.deere.com/sales/salesmanual/en_NA/material_handling/2007/compatibility_supplemental_info/tractor-implement_compat_ah.html

Edit: and here is the link for an overview of the imatch autohitch:

Good luck, I sure was disappointed when the 5103 wasn't (yet) covered. Their web site has some cool explanation of how it works, as well, and check out the demo of loading/unloading 2 impliments in 1.05 minutes. Amazing. But, again, only for a CUT at the moment.

Enjoy,
Taylor
