New John Deere 5085E

I needed a larger HP tractor to operate the airblast sprayer I'm purchasing soon for spraying our pecan trees, so I settled on a 5085E. I got a 5055E earlier this summer and have been really impressed with it, but it just doesn't have the PTO HP that I require.

I know alot of folks here recommend the M series, and I debated on getting a 5085M for a while. But I could't justify the $10K difference for my own uses. Since MY2013 the gap between the two series has really closed, as far as creature comforts go. I even have an air ride seat!

Price ended up being $40,500 (sticker would be about $51,000) out the door including the $3,000 cash bonus going on right now.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but thats a 5065E in the background. It's amazing how much larger the 85E/100E are over the 55/65/75E.

I have close to hundred hours on mine and have been extremely happy with it. Congratulations it's awesome tractor.

I had plans to buy one and found a 5093E with 62 hours on it so I bought the 5093E since it does not have the DPF on it..I've had nothing but trouble with it since I got it and it's been in the shop more than out..Wished I'd stayed with the 5085E instead...Enjoy it and good luck!

Congrats! Wow, the new 5085E's sure do like almost exactly the same as the M's now. If I had to do it over, I would have probably gone with the E now.
