I was out at the farm yesterday. Mowed both sides of the fence line with the tractor and then hopped into the Teryx to go along the fence and replace a few insulators. UTV's were made for that kind of work. ;o}
After finishing that up and putting the Teryx back in the barn I noticed that there were seven cows running loose in my unfenced row crop field. Since I didn't know which neighbor they belonged to I figured I would try and herd them into my pasture close up the gate and then go try and find where they belong.
After walking around the field for a while trying to get behind the mini herd and not having much luck I decided to try and round them up on the Teryx.
That worked pretty well as I got 6 of the 7 down into the pasture in fairly short order. The last cow was just not going to go so I gave up on that one after a half hour.
I went to the closest neighbor and he had phone numbers for the three closest owners of cattle and said he'd give them a call so with a little luck they will be back with the herd soon.
