I just bought a KK Two Bottom Plow at TSC. I got it all setup and plowed my brother's garden. It worked real well. The top and tilt sure comes in handy for making adjustments.

I bought one of those plows a few years back at auction. I got to plow one garden with it before it sold again. No coulters isn't the hot set-up here.

I've been told the wear parts on those plows are the same as Ford 101's. If so, they are easy to get ahold of. Shouldn't be too much worry about wearing it out just yet though, seeing as to how it still has lots of paint to wear off!

Nice job! Did you try it in any native soil? That's the "real" test of how well it plows. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used my Howse 2 bt plow last week to turn over some native soil, hadn't been plowed in 20 years and it did a nice job. I believe the key to successful plowing with a three point hitch plow is to have that top link adjusted correctly and the tilt set up to compentsate for the one tire being in the furrow. Draft control on your tractor can also come in handy.

The garden I plowed has been a garden for about 35 years. Before that it was farmed since maybe 1920's? I guess most of the rocks have been picked.

I will be plowing about three acres on my place next spring for a pumpkin patch. It hasn't been worked up since the 80's as I have it in CRP.

I have found lots of rocks on top of the ground, so I expect I will find more underneath when I plow. In other words I don't think my luck will hold up!

I'm looking for a plow for my 40HP that won't break my bank, but will get through the hard clay here.

Good job, That's always my sentiment when I get finished plowing, can't seem to get enough.
