Kioti CK3510
Hey everybody. New east Texas member here, Tyler area. I have been using tractorbynet to help with my search and evaluation. A great group of folks and very useful info here. After 25 years with my mid-70s Satoh Bull, I finally bit the bullet and bought a brand new tractor; Kioti CK3510. I looked at Deere, Mahindra, New Holland and Kioti and almost pulled the trigger on a Mahindra 1533 but the tyler dealership here didn't seem to care I existed. The Kioti dealership (Dowdle Motors) was great, attentive, helpful and gave me What feels to be a great price of 17,100 with a loader. They deliver tomorrow And am excited to put it to work but we have had almost 20 inches of rain in the past month and a half and even living on a hill everything is bog. ;-( looking forward to using a tractor without a 2 hour troubleshooting process before I can get anything done.

I wanted a used sub 200 hour 30 horse but everybody wanted 15k or so. The extra 2k IMHO was with it for warranty alone not to mention knowing exactly how it was treated. Thanks for the help,,

Congratulations on your new tractor.
Just remember they are not un-stoppable in the wet.
My property turns to quicksand after a lot of rain and if I break through that top 4 inches There is about 4-5 feet of slush under there. I have had to leave my tractor to the elements for about 3 weeks a couple of times as there is no way of getting it out. I found the front wheels break through and then the back ones start to dig in. Managed to get out sometimes by floating the front on the bucket and/or pushing with the bucket. Often the bucket just keeps going down into the slush so it can't be used to pull you out anyway. Usually now if it rains for a week or so then I stay home.

Yes, the crust with underlying bog applies here too. The UPS truck was here earlier this week with a delivery. I signed for it and went back in the house. 5 minutes later comes a knock on the door and there is was looking sheepish. It seems as he went around the circle in front of our house (quite tight) he swung out too far and sunk down to the axle in front. The sand had the consistancy of cake batter. We tried shoveling it out but more kept flowing in. So I hooked a cable up to the back of his step van, hooked the other end to my jeep (my old Satoh wouldn't start - typical) dropped it it low range low gear and after a coupe of minutes got him out. At first I though he had crushed a water line. So, all that to say, I won't be working anywhere but the driveway until things dry out a tad.
