Hi Guys,
Just got a new CK2610 HST delivered yesterday. It seems like a really solidy built tractor- awesome fit and finish, but I've already got a few problems.
1. When the driver dropped off the tractor he said that the gear range selector was sticky but that it would loosen up as I used it more. I didn't know enough to question him more on that at the time. At any rate, in the two hours I've used the tractor it's extremely difficult to get it to go into L, M, or H a lot of the time. I studied the posts on this and it seems to be a problem other owners experience. As per some of the posts I read on this forum, I tried simultaneously playing with the clutch pedal and the forward and back foot pedals, while laying moderate, but steady pressure on the gear range selector and, for the 6 or so times I tried it, it seemed to work. Playing with those pedals seemed to momentarily free things up in the gear range selector such that I was able to slip it into the desired range.
So should I be happy with this? Is it just the way these tractors are or should I be trying to get Kioti to fix it?
2. After about 2 hours of use (4.5 hours total on it now), I noticed a few dribbles, small streams of hydraulic fluid coming out of the bottom of the bucket hydraulic ram (right where the shiny metal piston goes in to the housing). I don't think that I could have done anything to damage it. I used it very lightly, just trying to get the feel of operating the tractor.
I'm not familier with hydraulics, but I'm assuming that this is not normal. I'm going to contact the dealer about it tomorrow.
So that's my first Kioti experience- not a great start, but hopefully I can get this sorted out and don't have any more problems for a long time.
