Kioti DKSE 45 HST
We recently bought 440 acres of woodlot to manage for deer / turkey hunting. The property has 2 miles of gravel roads and 14 acres of food plots, plus some cutover that needs to be cleaned up. Buying the property drained the funds so I have been looking for a tractor on a budget. I nearly bought a red budget tractor that was a shuttle shift, but I have a lot of loader work to do...so I wasnt sure. Thankfully I found this forum and got introduced to the Kioti.

This past week I built a pond sized lagoon for our deer camp septic system and reworked 1/2 mile of roads. I was very impressed with the HST and overall capacity of the machine. I cannot not even fathom the amount of extra time a shuttle shift would have taken, much less how much more energy to constantly be shifting gears.

Plus my 45 hst with 500 lbs extra rear weight is just under weight for my f150 with a HD trailer. It might be slighly lighter than the other 40 hp I was looking at, but I can haul this one w/o issue.

18 hours in and nothing is bent broke or missing! and I doubt it gets used any harder than this past week. Love it! Thanks for this forum.

Congratulations on your new machine.

As far as the Hst vs shuttle. I've run both and see very little difference in speed/time. The shuttle is nearly as fast IMO.

Glad you are enjoying your new machine. Check the tightness of the tube that contains the level rod, They have been know to loosen up. Happens to a lot of them.. I blue locktighted and staked mine. that was after I straightened out the rod after it wadded up when the tube loosened up and fell off. I am a big fan of the hydro myself.. :)

I bought the same tractor a little over a month ago. I haven't put on a lot of hours yet but will come spring. Love it so far. I'm sure you'll love yours.

Welcome to the pack.

Now that you got it, take a day and tighten EVERY nut and bolt you can see. Especially the loader.

I am madly in love with mine. CK27hst

I have both a HST and a electric shuttle shift. The shuttle shift seems to be faster for low power loader work but where high power low speed is required the HST is hard to beat.
