Kubota B7100HST
Hi everyone,
I'm new to TBN. I've been watching the Kubota forum for maybe a couple of months researching and studying before I " pulled the trigger," trying to talk myself out of spending so much for a 'lawnmower." I think I was really justifying or convincing myself that it made sense to purchase the b3000 over the other models I was considering. I had a B7100HSD I purchased in 92', and like I told my wife, "if I would have bought a big enough tractor then, I wouldn't be buying another one now." I asked it to do too much for such a little tractor.
I first saw Kubota's little cab tractor when it first came out in 05', I think. I took a test drive and knew I had to have one. I have been researching them ever since. Mine was delivered last Wednesday. I put 2 hrs on it since. I bought a FEL, MMM, 5' bush hog, and 6' rear blade. Once again I assured my wife this is my last tractor and it will last me till I die.
I have enjoyed your posts and appreciate all the info everyone has shared. I look forward to sharing my experience with my toy and brainstorming problems. I will post pics once I figure it out.
Brian

Congrats on the new ride! You're gonna be mowing in style this Summer.

Tell me about Air Cond. in the Cab, is it full blown AC with a compressor and all or is it something else? My wife does nearly all mowing bt hates because of all the dust and grass blowing all over her. Mind you she's no wimp, she runs the cattle operation and can drive and operate anything on wheels just about but she would rather mow 20 acres of hay with the Haybine than 3 acres of yard with the X720.

BTW: You need to get rid of that Cub Cadet banner ;-)

Grateful11- sorry so long in getting back to you. Your question about the a/c made me ponder. I assumed it was a full blown a/c, but I wanted to check before I responded. It does have a compressor. I'm told it's very cold. And btw, that picture was when it was in dealer's shop getting setup with FEL and MMM. Not my poster.
I've got less than 5 hours on it now and I have already experienced the windows fogging. I also noticed, while the three vents in front and the one on the left blow warm air, the one on the right blows cooler air. Can't figure that out.
The yard is soft and it'd not snowing. Having trouble finding reasons to/projects to use it on. Let it snow.

Brian,

Yes it has an air conditioning system. To reduce window fogging operate the heater with the A/C turned on. It will still heat the cab but the evaporative function of the A/C will dehumidify the air.

During mowing/brush hogging activities pay careful attention to keeping the radiator screen cleaned of weeds etc. It make a big difference in cooling capability.

You are going to enjoy it a lot.
