Howdy all.

I'm Travis. A few months ago I moved from the city to a 50+ acre hobby farm in NH. I purchased a B7800 with 350 hours from the previous owner (along with a cone spreader, back blade, Blizzard 54" snow thrower, and a log splitter (Honda powered, not PTO).

Over the last 3.5 months I've been reading the forums a lot, figuring out all sorts of things like what a "Cat 1 3pt h" is, how a PTO works, etc.

I've also gotten a ton of use from the Kubota so far: plowing the ~400 yard driveway during Feb's storms, moving 20" logs around in the grapple load of firewood so I can chainsaw it, hauling garbage and debris that the previous owner left, etc.

As we roll into spring I'm picking up the few tools I don't already have to do the 100 hour maintenance (grease gun, battery tester, etc.), and making a list of what accessories I want to get over the coming years (short list: King Kutter or similar rototiller, post hole digger, middle buster, front forks).

So far I've picked up a log skidder for the hitch from Northern Tools (received, but haven't used yet) and a front end bucket accessory Quick Spade (haven't received yet).

Thanks for the decade + of good info in the forum archives, and looking forward to hanging around here,

Travis

:welcome:
Get an air powered grease gun if you have an air compressor and if you don't then get an air compressor and an air powered grease gun. Harbour Freight has some which may or may not be any good but cheap enough to buy and return if it doesn't.
Had a B7800 and there is a problem that comes with many/most/few/all B7800s. The center point of the foot pedal can be very precise. If it isn't at the center point you will get no response when you turn the key to "try" to start it. If it ever doesn't start, move the foot pedal slightly with your foot while turning the key. Did more work with my B7800 which I owned for 3 years than any of my other tractors. Had it when I was in my early stages of "taming" my small plot of land which had more big rocks, trees, gullies and limestone in various spots than it does 11 years later. Mine was a work horse for sure.
