New Kubota in the driveway

First off I'd like to say "Thanks" to everyone. I've been using your knowledge to make an educated decision on my purchase. I'm now the proud owner of a BX1500 with a 54" MMM and a FEL. Here's a shot of it along side my other diesel.

Here's a rear shot of the weight box I built for it. It uses standard exercise weights that I bought at some garage sales. I already had the angle iron so the total cost was under $20. The box with the weights is about 270 lbs.

Here is a side shot with a removable basket for hauling around tools, chains, gloves or for holding trash that I pick up when I'm mowing.

Here's a shot of the hooks I added to the FEL. The 1/4" angle iron base and 3/8" hooks are welded, and since I usually over build everything, I borrowed another members idea of adding some bolts through the hooks and bucket.

How heavy of a welder did you use to do that? Just curious as I'd like to have some hooks on my bucket when it gets here.

I used a Lincoln 225 stick welder. I think it was set at 105 amps using 1/8" rod.

Congratulations on the new "tool". Nice looking weightbox setup. I like the basket idea for tools. One thing I think Kubota is missing the mark on big time is a small glove/tool box on these units. I know I sure would appreciate one for lynch pins, wrenches, gloves, etc.
