new Kubota M9540 opinions?

I wish we'd gotten into tractors with DualSpeed (or equivalent) earlier. The 105S was our first and it's fantastic when mistblowing or flail mowing. We got an older 885 Case after that with it too, so hopefully everything in the future will have it as well.

I haven't used one of the new hydraulic types, but one of our M9000s has an M35 loader with mechanical self leveling. The other has an M740 without self leveling. I like the option of being able to self level or not, because I find that for most of my use I'd prefer to be without it unless working with pallets.

We had a self leveling loader on our Case and we could only handle a little over half the amount of product as one without it. We finally took the self leveling function.

It may be great foe some, but we didn't like it.

A nice feature of the self leveling function on the 9540 is that it is a hydraulic rather than mechanical system. As a result, it can be switched off and on and has no effect upon loader capacity.

Mine was mechanical, so we didn't have the option. The hydraulic system offers the best of both worlds and may save you a dented hood if you loan it to someone.

My M1410 loader on my M9580 has a mechanical self leveler and I really don't care for it, maybe it's just cause I've never had one until now.
