Having a blast!!!

The other day I dug a good sized rock out of the ground, the shape was long but round. Fit in the bucket perfectly with about a foot to spare on one side. Loader wouldnt pick it up. Am I expecting too much? Rock did not hang over the edge, completely in bucket.

Also on my Kubota bh75 backhoe there is alot of play in the dipperstick pin. Like 1/4 inch, is that normal?

Grizz,

It is hard to say without knowing the FEL you have. My Koyker 210 on my L-3710 will lift just about anything I can fit in it. In fact the ONLY thing that has ever stopped me is the rear wheels coming off of the ground and that is with the BH hanging off of the back. I do know it will out lift the two other Kubota loaders in my area ( also 3710's), but will not lift nearly as fast as they can..... Everything has it's price. It all boils down to pump output and piston size.

Try lifting something of known weight and then compare it to the loader's specs. I know this is not of much help, but maybe a place to start.

Good luck,

Gary

just going from memory here but if;
the rock was limestone
and it was 4 ft long
and it was 2 foot in diameter
it would weigh around 1500 lbs.
if you have the 463 loader, thats about 50% too much.

Thats what I was wondering, I was trying to put a weight to it.

I think the LA423 bucket is rated for 1100lbs. The first thing I did when I recieved my L3400 HST was spread 10 yds of 5/8 minus rock. When you drove into the pile with the bucket and picked up a heaping scoop it was all it could do. I can't remember the lifting ability of the loaders for the Grand L's but I think they are higher. Unfortunetly there is only one loader choice for the L2800/3400. By the way, how does your 3pt operate? Brian

according to my kubota spec sheet it says the 2800/3400 are rated the same ,
at lift point=1998 lbs
at 24 inches behind lift point=1435 lbs
hope this helps
