Thanks for the great advice I got my new 3400 yesterday and we love it.Put 6.4 hours on mowing pushing trees and bushes.
Glad I listened and went bigger b7800 might have worked
but I had one bush even 3400 couldn't push out.Check out pic
it dosn't look this good now.
Thanks

Great looking rig!

I am clearing a lot of privet hedge which is sort of a bush/tree thing.

On the larger ones I push on the trunk 3' or 4' above the ground and lean them over. Then I use the lip of the loader to push against the root ball which has been exposed. I usually curl the bucket while pushing to help pull the remaining roots out of the ground.

Don't know if the method will work for you or not.

Other alternative is a heavy chain hooked to the shrub or tree a couple of feet above the ground with the other end hooked to the drawbar. Do NOT hook a chain to anywhere other than the drawbar or you can flip the tractor over backwards!!!

Enjoy your new tractor!

Congratulations Scott. I just purchased the L3400 myself about 6 weeks ago. I'm sure the 2 of you are going to be very happy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats!!!
I am strongly considering upgrading to a 3400 myself, seems to be the most tractor for the money out there.
Have fun and be safe. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
