Just purchased a new L4330 FST and it's dripping oil from a bronze colored bolt w/lock washer located directly behind the oil drain bolts. This bolt has a domed stem in the middle of it that moves up and down. The dealer did come get tractor and take it in for repairs; said it was a torn o-ring. Got it back Friday and after running it awhile decided to check to see if there was any leakage? It still leaking small drops of oil; nothing major as far as leaks go but I just don't think a brand new tractor should be dripping oil.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was causing the problem?

Give it a few days. You may just be seeing a little residual leakage coating the inside of the case from the repair. If not improving or gone in 1 week, recontact your dealer. I believe the stem allows any oil to get out which is how you detected the leak in the first place. I have the same bolt on my 3710 Gst.

Guess it could be left over from repair; will give it a few days to see if it goes away. Thanks

That pin is for the clutch area water drain. Sometimes water from condensation will build up. I push mine in once in a while, but nothing comes out. You must have had the leak inside the housing and are just getting a little left over leaking.

Tractor is still leaking drops of oil from the clutch drain bolt/plunger. Plan to keep check on fluids and return tractor to dealer for repairs later on this fall. Kind of aggrevating for a brand new tractor to be leaking but guess it could be worse.

I took my tractor to dealer for repairs 2 weeks ago and got it back this morning. Service manager said they could not find what was causing the leak so they just went ahead and replaced all the front seals. I believe the leak is fixed; at least it's not leaking where it was before (drip from the clutch drain pin). Got to use the FEL to spread some sand in low areas and backfilled a old water well that I have been putting off for several months.
