Well, my tired eyes finally reached the point where I could not push my old 17" CRT back on the desk far enough to be able to read TBN threads. So with my birthday coming up my lovely bride got me a 19" Samsung LCD monitor! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Only an inch thick, so the screen is just the right distance from my face...and it's huge!

You can all expect an immediate drop in typos coming from me (at least when I post from home).

Whats better than 1 19" monitor.. TWO, I have a pair on monitors attached to my PC. You end up with twice the screen space.

CRT---wow that is old school

BUT on the flip side CRT shows the best color (black wise).
I have an 15 LCD but found some 19" for like $289.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pete I know where you're coming from. A couple of years back we switched all our monitors to 21" models. At the end of the day your eyes thank you for it.

I just got one too, Pete ... but I opted for the Princeton ... slightly better specs .... amazing to find an 800:1 contrast ratio on a $300 LCD monitor!
They've come a long way in a fast time .... put my dual monitor setup at work to shame!
Now I do my website editing from home, instead of in the office after work ...

Pete, just switched to a 19" Samsung 193P about 2 months ago from a giant space pig, a 15" IBM CRT monitor with speakers. What a difference. I researched pretty hard before deciding on this monitor.

That is the best that PineRidge can get being he lives in the boondocks of Ohio...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I heard that his back up generator consists of a half dozen gerbils on a wheel... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Junk we may indeed be out in the Ohio Boondocks but SBC DSL makes us feel like we still live in the BIG city. Besides, I like boondocks, I can sit around here in my boxer shorts if I choose to and still get my work done.

Is that too visual for you guys? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
