Tractor
Cub Cadet 7275
I just bought a house on 30 acres in the foothills west of Fort Collins, having moved from Chicago. A Cub Cadet 7275, 1997, with about 600 hours on it, sort of came with the property. No manuals, uncertain maintenance history, only a sticker of a dealer on the side. I assume the dealer sticker is where the tractor was purchased new, and I haven't tried calling to see if they're still in business or not. What's the best way to go about finding a reputable dealer near me, when I'm new to the area?

I am a complete newb when it comes to tractors - it's been 20 years since I used anything bigger than an electric push-mower, and before then I was too young to do the servicing and repairs on the garden tractors Dad let (ie made) me use. I'll definitely be bugging everyone on this forum for help, and it'll be a while before I can contribute much back (except maybe some amusing cautionary tales).

This thing is huge (by my standards). How do I get service for it, when I don't have a trailer to haul it around?

hi Im new here as well far from an expert, I guess I can ask, have you looked much at it, tryed to start it and such? I guess just try some regular things like clean the plugs and filters, put new oil and gas in it, as for a dealer, try contacting the one on the mower otherwise cubs websight has a dealer finder on it if you want to look, would amagin having been in that area before should be dealers near that location,

I haven't tried any maintenance on it yet, but I'm kind of procrastinating that since Dad the retired mechanic is coming to stay with us soon. I figure a mentor who knows what he's doing is better than me just winging it. What I have done so far is gone over all the levers and connections with the previous owner, and then picked up and moved all the attachments, even test-mowing and test-scraping a bit. So I think I can puzzle out how to use it effectively eventually, even generating some amusing newb-advice along the way.

I might give the dealer a call and just introduce myself and see if they have any service records for this tractor. Good idea?

I tried to do that, but the 7275 doesn't show up on their site anymore, and no manuals are available.

There are service manuals on Ebay which are very helpful
I have the 7274 which is the same tractor as yours but it has a manual instead of hydrostatic transmission
I can tell you that the drivetrain is made by Mitsubishi and is classed as a 27 hp
They are in my opinion a very good well built compact tractor
