I purchased one of these a week ago at LIMBHOG.com and have trimmed more limbs in less time then ever before! The hydraulic chainsaw plugs right into my thumb quick disconnects on the front of the tractor. It takes five minutes to install or remove. The saw self oils and only requires occasional tightening. Man this thing can make tree trimming on your farm fun instead of dangerous, hard work! Depending on the species of tree the limbs will fall and strip some bark on larger limbs but after some practice it is not a problem. I have a bad back and have looked for a long time for an implement like this. The only addition was a six foot extension to increase the reach. Feel free to let them know I have given this implement an a+ rating.

$2500. The primary expense is the saw. Here is some info I found elswhere on that: ADI HYDRAULIC CHAINSAW. Oregon makes only the bar and chain.

6 h.p. high torque gear motor. Electric insulated, finger trigger operated with full hand grip and safety trigger lock.
Non-conductive inner hydraulic hose. Automatic oiler for bar and chain. Easy conversion to open/closed hydraulic
system on tool. When ordering specify open or closed system.
Bar and chain length - 10".

AVAIABLE IN TWO MODELS

NO. ACS-70 6' 5" O.A. length.
Wt. 9 lbs. $1,394.00
NO. ACS-80 7' 5" O.A. length.
Wt. 9 lbs. 8 oz. $1,406.00

It says 2500 bucks on their web site ordering system.Pretty steep unless you REALLY need one lol.Nice concept though,I think they'll sell enough of them to be around for a while

As a retired arborist, I saw only one cut in the video that I would have called acceptable. Unless the operator developed a lot better control with that attachment, my customers would never have accepted those cuts. Stubs like he left is just an invitation for later problems.

I want one....but they would be $5000 in OZ "if" you could get one . As you would have found out by now , you need to cut under the branch about a third of the way and then cut from the top down to stop the branch tearing the bark when it falls .

If that was mounted like my Hy-Reach Tree Shear it would be a super tool. The ability to rotate the shear really helps to get a good orientation for the cut. The major problem I have with the Tree Shear is it is limited to 8". It is not fun when you jam it into something bigger.

I would like to be able to reach under the big junipers I have and cut them down. I simply can not get down to use a chain saw to do the job.

Looks a might handy. Wish it were cheaper and my spare hydraulics are at the rear of the tractor.
