You wouldn't think it would be that big of deal to find the right linings and, maybe it isn't but I seem to be having difficulty. Not even sure I need to replace them but have a feeling, I didn't do them any good. I was mowing yesterday in Heavy weeds and grass. It started not sounding right and on my next pass I noticed the weeds and grass were more laying over than being cut. Dumb me, finally turn around to look and see smoke coming from the slip clutch area. I quickly disengaged the pto and headed to the house. It was still smoking 5 minutes later! I assume I burnt the linings bad enough that they will need replaced. It was hot enough that it melted the little plastic doors on either side of the plastic housing around the clutch. At any rate, in looking at the manual, it tells me there were possibly 3 different ones used on the SQ160. That's helpful! I have concluded that it is a EG/Comer with the bolt pattern that is 2 bolts close together and spaced in 4 positions around. It is NOT the one that is 8 bolts spaced evenly around, if that makes sense and, it is not the solid cast Bonioli&Pavesi/Binacchi. The manual tells me which spring length setting to use but doesn't say anything about which linings I need. I was hoping I could buy them and have them ready when I tore it apart but seems all the dealers want to know what size they are and I can't tell them because I haven't torn into it yet. Does anyone know which ones I need?? Thanks for the help!
