New LS MT240

Hi, I just purchased this new LS MT240HE. I’ve only put a few hours on it, but so far it seems to be as good or better fit and finish than the John Deere’s and Kubotas that I have ran on different farms. I will be using this tractor to run a six foot Woods brush hog. I also have a five foot box blade from my last tractor.

I’ve wanted a classic tractor for a few years, so only a week after buying the LS, I bought an old but running Ford 8n to restore. I’m lookin forward to reading more about tractors and other equipment on this forum as well.

Congrats - be sure and purchase the best diesel you can find. Its worth a few extra $$ don't cheap out on fuel.

Nice LS!

On the MT240, Check the front axle lube level immediately and every couple hours until it is staying at or near the full mark. The dipstick is on the left under the metal nut, not the blue "vent" cap on the right. Many of us had to add a total of 2 quarts over the first 20 hours until it stabilized.

Thanks for letting me know about the front axle. I just checked the dipstick, and it was low so I topped it off.
