New M7060 ordered

Just wanted to throw a quick gloat out there. Yesterday, my dealership and I struck a deal to trade my 2006 L4330 for a brand new M7060 cab. It's something I've been mulling over for a while and thought now was the time to act.
The snow removal side of my business has been growing steadily and has gotten to a point where it would be a major strain on both the old L4330 and myself to keep up with the number of clients that I have grown to. My hopes are that the new tractor with more horsepower and capabilities will ease some of that strain.
The machine was on the dealers lot, they just need to get all the options I want installed. They are hoping to have it done by the end of this week. It's going to be a long couple of days for me!

I'm anxious to hear your views on the change in size as well. Getting around in tight spots might be a bit more of a challenge. Also, are you going to a different type drive system, HST to gear for example??

Like Richard, I too will be curios how you like the change in size etc., we love our M8540 but at times have too go get the 5740. If I could only have one it would be the M.

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to post the pics as soon as I get it. The machine I'm getting is a 12×12 and i might put the creeper set in it yet. Dealer said try it without and if I feel I need it then it's no problem to put in afterwards. Getting 3 remotes plus the 3rd function valve for the loader. Air ride seat with swivel, R1 tires, cast center wheels, front fenders, economy pto.... all the good stuff! Can't wait to have it sitting in my yard, just wish it was ready now as their calling for 8-12" of snow and ice tonight and tomorrow. Oh well the old L4330 will have to earn her keep one more time.

Sounds like you covered the options very well. I've got a BB with hydraulic scarifiers and TnT on the tractor. Can't do that without triple remotes. The 3rd function on the loader also opens up many more worlds of use for the FEL, wouldn't be without that.

I'm curious about the creeper set though. If you decide to have that added do a writeup. Sounds relatively easy to install. Might be something I want to look into. Did you happen to hear a price quote just for the kit??

Ya the creeper kit is around $1000-1200 cnd installed which I think is quite reasonable. A mechanic at the dealer said it's surprisingly easy to install, few hours at the most.

Yep, that's the way I would set it up, like Richard I have three remotes on my L5740HSTC with TnT and a box scraper with hydraulic scarifiers. I have third function on the 5740, but not on the 8540, maybe some day when I recover from everything else.

Congrats! I think the creeper kit would be money well spent if you have any tight/precision snow plow areas, especially after coming from a hydro trans. Does the 7060 have hydraulic shuttle?

I'll do a Google search on that. I just figured that was something that had to be done during manufacturing. Probably half that cost is the labor to install. Thanks for sharing the info!!!
