- Kubota b2400 SOLD. Now a Massey Ferguson 285 SOLD. Now a Kubota 50HP
I'm thinking about a new machine. We purchased a different property, and it is going to require a lot of work. Some mowing, some excavating, and a lot of contouring. I am thinking of a mid mount mower, 4wd, excavator and loader. I presently have a Kubota B2400 which I love, but which is just too small and too light for what I envisage.
The excavator work will be into a side slope, probably about 60 yards of dirt removal (in one shot, that is). After that fairly minor amounts (septic field, stump removal, ditching), but when I have to use it, the dirt will be full of large roots. There will be some concrete removal, but for that I will probably get a company to come in and do it for a one time fee unless I find out the excavator is capable. Can you get thumbs on these excavators? Contouring will probably be done with a box blade.
I'm thinking of one of the LS machines with a mid mount mower. I'll look at the other options too. Wondering which brands have the most amount or capability for large numbers of hydraulic outputs.
Any thoughts on features I should be looking for, different brands, am I pipe dreaming, etc?
Thanks
ps - no LS dealer close by, but there is a NH dealer and a Kubota dealer. Mechanically no issues with me doing the work.
