MF 135
Hello,
This is my first post in MF part of the forum.
About month ago my friend call my with an information that there is Massey Ferguson that will by thrown away to scrap yard. He send my photos. I decided that I must have it.
Last Friday when I came home from work a saw Ferguson next to my home. :)
My Wife arrange a surprise for my birthday I now I have my dreamed Ferguson.
It is in poor shape it whose used on airfield and nobody take care about it. (there are two photos from 2007). There is a lot of parts missing.

Me and my Wife decided that we will make full renovation so I will probably have a lot of questions for you. :)

I don't know from what year is this Ferguson, there is no numbers on engine and no tractor number. Maybe someone will now is it late or early model of MF 135?

I already found complete hood with lamps and on Saturday I will go to pick it up.

First off, Welcome to TractorByNet. :) You have come to the right place to assist you in your restoration. Since Massey Ferguson is a global company you should not have any problems finding new replacement parts. My suggestion is to seek out salvage yards for replacements. They fit better. Especially the sheet metal body parts. From the looks of your pictures this is a running tractor. This is a nice tractor to start with. I have seen worse restored back to near original condition here on this site. Get yourself the service manual which will aid you as you work from front to back. Good luck with your new toy and remember this. "The only dumb question is the one you didn't ask". -kid

Welcome to TBN. Join the fun:D

The serial number plate on my 1964 MF135 diesel is riveted to the right side of the battery tray. You have to remove the air filter canister to see it.

Good luck with your restoration. Post more photos as your project proceeds.

Greetings to all my new tractor friends,
This is my first post too :D.
Well I think its also a good idea if you may be able to get a Tractor Restoration DVD, so you will be able to arm you self with knowledge and face all the challenges with confidence and enjoy the restoration. The MF135 is the best tractor ever built and is also the most fuel economical tractor that stands out with today's modern tractors. Wish you all the best with the restoration... :)

Thanks for warm welcome.

Yesterday I finally had some time to at list clean my MF. I used all bottle of engine cleaner and now it looks much better. Today I have plans to try to start the engine but it won't be easy because some engine wires are missing.
I will post more photos and for sure I will have a lot of questions. :)

On Saturday I went to by missing bonnet, looks like new.

I put it on my MF and find out that radiator is probably from Ursus 255 (Polish licenses MF255) and the inlet pipe it is higher. This is no problem because radiator looks good and I will cut the pipe, short it couple cm and weld it beck together.

Bellow photos after first wash. It took me two hours of brushing I think it needs more cleaning . :)

Engine is for 90% from later Ursus MF255 which is good, because there are no problem with good quality parts in Poland for it.
Today I ordered a new battery and will change engine oil and tray to start it up.
Next move will be cutting off all the thing that are welded to it. :)
CD with Owner Manual and Workshop Manual arrived so it won’t be a problem I hope.

Howdy Pawel,

It looks like a nice tractor to me. If they just used it as a tug, some things may not be worn much, like the PTO. Good luck with it and thank you for the pictures.
