Hello, I bought a Massey 1742 back in November. Lurked here on the boards trying to educate myself before the purchase. For a few years I was trying to get things done with my side by and pull behind finish and rough cut mowers. It got to be too much. This my first tractor. I went with the Massey because in addition to what I thought was good value, the dealer is a good guy who has treated me right throughout the time I was researching brands and during the purchase. I feel like the he and his dealership will be a good resource for me for questions and service. I am very excited to get some seat time and learn from everyone here. Being on the tractor helps me forget about all the other BS going on in the world. It is great way for me to relax. (even though I'm working) I have 50 acres of mostly wooded area with trails and 10 acres of meadow. Only implements so far are a root grapple and a Woods rotary cutter.
