New member 956xl intake manifold heater

Hello all!

First of all i'm new member to the forum and with limited knowledge of tractors,

I'm helping out my family with some tractor issues.

Our IH 956 xl does not have any heater plug installed, it looks like the previous owner removed it and plugged the intake manifold.

I have searched around the internet for a suitiable unit that i can use.

Can anyone here help me out with this issue?

If nothing original is left of the factory cold start, I'd just put a recirc heater in and plug it in to electricity for cold starts.

Have a D-179 here (1/2 a D-358 with one of those installed at dealer when new and I just replaced it a few years back.

You may have to do some plumbing with hardware store items as these units pump from the block and put the heated coolant back in.

I will assume you are in Europe with a 956XL so you'd likely need a similar one with the appropriate voltage and cord.

Will allow D-179 to start like summer at -30 C
