Mahindra 2555
In March 2018 I purchased 2015 Mahindra 2555 tractor. For the 1st year, I have loved this tractor and got a lot of things done on the farm. With a moderate winter and the tractor shed kept I was surprised that when I started it in the field (I'd started it in the shed with no issue) it clicked a few times and cranked afterward. I stored it away and the following morning tried to start it. It clicked 3-4 times but would not turn over. I turned the key again and nothing, no click or crank. My question to anyone who's experienced this before is: does that sound like my battery load is down? I checked water levels in the battery, recharged it to "full" charge, but no improvement in starting my tractor with it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check your ground connection from the battery to the tractor frame up front, make sure it is clean and no paint under the connector. Also make sure your battery cables are not corroded internally. It's a known issue for the corrosion in the cables. If they are then just get new ones made up or buy premade ones at your local auto parts store.

Mahindra tractors are notorious for poor battery connections and grounds. I would start there. Your series tractor also has a power plug just below and behind the battery that I have seen corrode and fail on many tractors.

My 5010 is pretty much an older version of the 2555. As jabonee says the connector from battery positive under the battery could be failing. When i cleaned my battery posts the red wire came loose from the connector. They crimp the male connector thru the wire insulation Its hard to check to see if youre getting voltage to start relay without pulling the relay so really check that connector. I bypassed the connector with an aluminum wire splice then wrapped it in electrical tape.
