swmpbgy1,Hi neighbor. I heard good things about Thompson's, but went with PARCS in Bruceton Mills. A little competition is a good thing. I mowed some grass last evening for about 45 min -- want to break it in slowly. So far, I'm very happy with the cut and performance. Go Mountaineers!

Last fall I bought 2 BX1500s to work with my BX23.
The BXs are great little tractors.
CC was not even an option when the BX line was first introduced. It was added as an afterthought. I recently had a CC retrofit kit added to my BX2200 (year 2000 model). The lever is in the extra slot by the gear range lever. There are several hinged lever joints and a long rod running all the way from near the rear wheel to the pedal. It mechanically locks the pedal in place. The CC cannot be unlocked by stepping on the pedal. The hand lever must be disengaged.
