2015 Kubota B2620
I am new to the game of tractorbynet forums as this is my first post and appreciate any and all help everyone can offer. I currently own and operate a Kubota B2620 with FEL and driver over MMM, been a great tractor and has performed well it is short 206 hour life. That being said, we are looking to upgrade to a cabbed unit and increase horse power and size/weight. Tractors we have considered are the Deere 4044R, Kubota L4060, and most recently the Boomer 45 (Mahindra and Kioti are out for different reasons that do not matter, but they are out nonetheless). If going with the Deere or Kubota we would consider a 3 point mower for open area mowing, if we purchased a Boomer I would consider a MMM for the same mowing area. Further, this would be utilized for primary snow removal via 3 point blower and FEL. Thoughts? It is difficult to compare units based on company provided specs as they do not always line up to be apples to apples. Dealer network are fairly equal for all three in my area. I like the Deere with some of it's options like the "remote" three point controls making hook ups easier as well as the e-throttle that saves fuel when mowing. I like the Boomer for price. The Kubota is a known product to me as it is what I currently have and the dealer has been easy to deal with. Any and all insight would be great!

We have purchased two Kubota Grand L's;L3130 HST and a L4240 HSTC,my son owns a L3000Dt and my BIL a L3300;so a little Kubota bias. All have performed great and are reliable. Our dealer also has been out-standing.I have also purchased most of my implements from them.
Our local JD dealer also is a good outfit;but mostly purchased lawn mowers from them.
If looking at New Holland it may save money looking at the comparable LS model.

The only hiccup with an LS model is that there are no local dealers, I have heard that LS is making the Boomer for NH but I cannot find any locally. What are everyone's thoughts on the LS produced Boomer? Does anyone have experience with Deere's e-throttle and hitch assist?

I compared a JD4052R to Kubota L4760HSTC. Ended up deciding to go with the Kubota and spent some more and got the 6060 so I could get a cat2 three point and some more HP.

I have other posts about my L6060 and a reply somewhere comparing the JD. In a nutshell I liked the Kubota cab and hood better. The remote switches for the three point was a big interest to me but with the deluxe hitch on the L60 series I figured I would be ok coming from the same setup on what I traded. The battery on the JD was low and on the right eliminating the right step out of the cab which I really wanted for exiting with ease from the right. JD seemed more difficult to get to items under hood. I liked the smaller back windows on the Kubota cab rather than the one big glass on the JD. Felt the JD hydraulics on the bottom were more exposed than Kubota. JD cab was so nice, a little too nice for me because I was afraid it would be harder to clean since there was so much fabric. I liked the JD control layout letter for advanced HST controls. Liked the foot pedal to move the steering wheel on Kubota. Hate the Kubota treadle pedal versus 2 pedals on the JD but I got used to it quickly since it pretty much works like a dual pedal on the L60 anyway because of the large pedal. Liked the way the fuel went in the Kubota. Options were overwhelming on the JD and I wasn’t getting much support from the dealers I talked to so I didn’t really know what I was getting. Kubota was simpler for options I thought.

That’s all I can think of off hand. They both have their pros and cons. Sit in each and look them over front back and underneath. Open hood and look for items you will likely service yourself and make sure you’re comfortable.

Can’t speak to NH although I traded a NHWM55 and really liked it. Thought about the Boomer series but want enough support in my area for them dealer wise.

I am in the same boat as you. EXACTLY! Keep in mind you will not be using your B2620 implements with your new tractor. Unless your currently pulling 6' stuff with it. I liked the JD3039R and the Kubota L3560HSTC for their size. TBN wisdom has allowed that those two units will NOT have enough HP to do the work I am currently doing so I will have to keep looking. Good luck in your search. I personally liked the Kioti NX 4510 tractor the best but I have very little dealer support in my area.

Recommend you also cross shop the Yanmar YT347/359. Some of the nicest cab tractors out there now. Two rear remotes standard, very efficient iHMT transmission, 100+ year old Japanese company that builds the whole tractor from the wheels up. There are a number of dealers in your area.

Yea, I'd go for the Kubota or the Yanmar!

I do like the Kubota I have and am happy with the dealership. That being said the hitch assist on the Deere is pretty attractive, any experience or insights regarding the hitch assist?
