I have been a long time occasional visitor to TBN having owned a variety of tractors over the last 35+ years. I have been compelled to become an official member after just saving potentially thousands repairing our 2006 Kioti DK45SC using the comprehensive instructions provided by a very generous TBN contributor. More on that in the appropriate thread.
Our Kioti was originally purchased new to be our full time tractor on our part time farm in Renfrew County (sheep and horses), but now that we have moved to the Brockville area it is used primarily for working in our woodlot. Our woodlot is dominated by green and white ash which is being devastated by the emerald ash borer. Equipped with a Wallenstein FX90 logging winch it spends each winter (already three years in) skidding dead and dying ash to be processed and sold as fuelwood.
Our Kioti has performed admirably over the years but now at 2200 hours the wear and tear is beginning to show. I look forward to a few more trouble free years (fingers crossed) but am grateful that the TBN community is out there to look to for advice when things go wrong.
