saracenas- sorry for the confusion... No, we don't have snow.. yet! It really looks like your area and mine are similar; right now the leaves are raining down. Those snow pics were from last year.
Here are some shots of what it looks like now. Very cool in the morning, pleasant in the afternoon... but now we're in for some rain.
Oh, and here's the airplane I took that photo from- a WWII-vintage AT-6 trainer aircraft. Very nice to fly!![]()
irvingj,
No problem with a snow. I suppose You may have it even in the middle of October. So we do, because You're right - our areas are really similar. When we compare our climate to the climate of the North America, we say it's equal to that near by Halifax (Canada) zone. So You are around 200 miles down south the Halifax.
And I see You're living in the forest. Beautiful house! Don't wild animals disturb You?
I see it's a great tradition to own an airplane in the USA, especially among those who are living in the country side. I've read about Your plane in the Wikipedia. And You know what? It reminded me Anbo VIII - the lithuanian built airplane, which had its first flight on September 5th, 1939 (take a look at a pic below or watch a video "Anbo VIII" in YouTube). It was created as a light bomber (the plan was to build 60 of them). But finally was used as a target by the soviet pilots within their training right after soviet occupation and just before WWII. The constructor Antanas Gustaitis was tortured and killed in Moscow in 1941, as he disagreed to collaborate with soviet aviation. That was the way of lithuanian built aviation destruction by soviets, totally about 300 airplanes.
By the way, my father was at the military school of pilots before soviet occupation. But couldn't finish and was taken to the war by soviets.
So the 2000km of riding travel ended. The horses really drank in salt water of Black sea
