I have used TBN to help research my John Deere 425. It has a 48" mmm and the 54" snow blade with quickhitch. About 320 hours on it. Changed all the fluids and filters and it should be ready to go for cutting. I just bought it a few months ago and have only used it to push some snow on my driveway. Drive is concrete and about 200 yards long including the turnaround. Fortunately I have a plow on a Suburban to "rough" plow first. I was pretty excited about getting the 425 as we recently moved to this new for us house which is on 2.72 acres. Last summer and fall I used my old Homelite/Simplicity tractor with a 42" deck and an old Gilson with a 38" deck. These old tractors are still ok but I couldn't pass up the deal on the 425.

Now my dilemma: Last Saturday I saw a JD 2210 on Craigslist and called the owner. Amazingly he lived about 2 miles from me. Made a deal and he delivered it a short time later. It has about 325 hours on it. FEL, ballast box, 54" mmm (like new), back blade, and just delivered today a 2" receiver hitch that I bought on ebay Sunday. Everything appears to be in good shape even the plastic fan. Can I keep both? Maybe if I buy my wife another piece of diamond jewelry. I think she is receptive to the idea of keeping the 425 for her to use. Hopefully she will do all the cutting with it. She did say the old stuff (non green) will have to go. Also bought a JD cap on ebay. DDDENDEN (Mr. fixit)

Welcome to TBN. Of course you can keep both Deere tractors. If you have any more questions just ask. When it comes to tractors and such we are a generous bunch as long as its your money.:D Yes if you want peace in the house buy your wife something very nice. You know the husbands saying "HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE" and we all know how life is if wife is not happy theres no funny saying for that. You must have a great wife like mine she let me get 2 tractors on the same day. Shes a great catch.
