New Member intro

Greetings all,
just a quick post to say hello before I continue touring some of the wonderful mountains of information onsite. Am in the process of shopping for a new tractor as the old Zetor may have finally broken our repair spirit. Am currently looking at a Mahindra 5035 and feel it ticks most of our boxes at the moment.

Thoroughly enjoying the threads particulalry some of the home made equipment and mods. Love the creativeness and the high quality finish so many members have demonstrated.

Nice to meet you all and hope I can contribute something one day.

To TBN Fenton from Alanama, USA. Are you down-under? How much land do you have? What are you doing with the tractor?

Thank you all for the kind greetings.
Yes mddorange am down under in the land of Aus. On 80 acres of dryland farming just north of Melbourne. The tractor will be doing all of our farm tasks such as grass slashing (Bush Hogging I think for our Northern friends). pasture aerating and all the normal farm tasks. We are planning a new home build so plenty of soil to be shuttled, driveway grading and some rock movement for garden beds. We also cut a few Sugar gums (Eucalyptus species) for firewood so lots of things to move.

All in all lots of little tasks hopefully made easier by a new machine. Given its a family farm, hardest job might be getting a drive between my Dad and my son.
