Hello to everyone. Exploring the purchase of either a John Deere or Kubota in the 50 to 80 hp range for use on my farm. Using it for small produce work and a large poultry operation. Any advice us helpful. Replacing a 4500 John Deere shuttle shift with loader. Thanks

To TBN windy. Where are you located and what kind of land do you have? When you say large poultry operation, is this in connection with a company like tyson?

Poultry is with a company like Tyson's. It would be used for general maintenance such as grass cutting, working in extremely dusty conditions inside the chicken houses pulling a windrower, cruster, loading/moving chicken manure and land leveler. Grading the service driveways and small produce operation of a couple of acres. Plan to expand soon with both poultry and produce. Located on Maryland's eastern shore. Will be used daily and I'm looking for the that will withstand the use in dusty conditions and heavy use. It will be my first Kubota purchase if completed. I have quotes on a 4066 turbo charged john Deere. Compact with lots of power so I can use inside the houses. Thanks

I did not see anything there that required a certain amount of hp? Or a certain sized machine? As far as the dusty conditions the only thing that will effect is your air filter maintenance.

50 to 80 HP range. Looking at both the large compact (4066-jd) and entry level utility/AG tractors (5065 JD).Trying to decide if I want to switch to Kubota? Anybody using a 50 to 80 hp Kubota in dusty conditions with limited maintenance or parts availability issues- over time? Any particular model I should look at? Need dual rear service valves...
