I have already gleaned a wealth of information from guys who post here. The wealth of information is amazing. So I Joined. Have far more questions than answers!
I am retireded now and spend time doing the things I love, like keeping up with the ever increasing list of honeydoos, managing my deer herd, planting food plots, and mineral licks, maintaining our properly, and catching up on all things neglected while working for the past 45 years to make ends meet. I have owned a Ford 3000 for about 25 years, and what a workhorse it has been. I just recently had a BD, no spring chicken here, and ordered a new L3800 Kubota tractor with FEL, 66" QA bucket, and a BH77 backhoe 16" bucket. So I sing "happy birthday to me" several times a day while waiting delivery of my new tractor. These tired achy shoulders are going to appreciate power steering for a change while I continue to dig stumps and plow new ground with assistance from my new hired hand. I thank God for the smell of freshly turned dirt, Kudzu that goes away (temporarily at least) after I spray it, rain the day after I plant soybeans, and mama does who birth baby bucks that grow up to be trophies and tell about how they easily outsmarted that old gray haired hunter, or watched him bouncing on that tractor thing while planting them something good to eat at 2 am, while they laid bedded down not too far away at 12 noon and watched from the dark shadows of nearby trees. I also admire common sense and people who love this country and stand for the same values and morals upon which it was founded, and still believe in the American dream that reverence for God, prayer, hard work, and honesty are rewarded. Now let's go play in the dirt!
