I live quite close to you, Jerome Prairie area in Grants Pass--40 acres on Bolt Mountain, but our house is much more conventional.

@psdx: Yep. Not that hard w/ a single cylinder. I like to build and do a lot of things myself. Wife says I don't get enough sleep. But this was my first experience at engine rebuilding. Had to get all the casting sand, etc. out of the new engine before grinding something to bits! Indian quality control is not the best. Now it runs great.

@powerpace: yes, I'm in the radiology dept at TRCH (Three Rivers Comm. Hosp. in Grants Pass). Just had a lot of interaction w/ the ER over the weekend because I worked all weekend. Who do you know?

@Curlydave: Awesome! A neighbor! Not familiar w/ Bolt Mtn, but i'll look it up. But we do have friends in Jerome Prairie area. You probably see a big billboard of me every day if you drive down the Coast Hwy just before the hosp. (Hosp is advertising, trying to keep people from going to Medford.) We're up Upper Powell Creek off Water Gap Rd. going up toward Williams.
