New Member - Looking at a used 1440V

Hello everyone,

I just joined the group and just got back from Iraq. In Iraq, my company cleared road side bombs (IED) hense my handle. Anyways, I was looking for a little help on a MF. One of my relatives has a 2001 1440V that has a loader, back blade (scrape), and a dozer blade. This tractor is in excellent condition and only has 122 hrs. He wants $18,000 for this machine. Does that sound reasonable or is that cost to high? I have looked all over (local and on the internet) for a comparable model but to no avail. Bottom line, I love MFs and our family has always had one to plow snow (live in Vermont), scrape the driveway, or work around the house; however, I don't want to over pay either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Third, That is a very low hour good tractor, It IMO with the implements it has is a fair deal...But that kinda depends on the trans, geared 8x8 shuttle, 12x12 shuttle, or Hydro? Hydro being the most expensive would be a pretty fair/ok deal...either of the other trans , negotiate..a little high priced

But just remember , Thats one guy's opinion

Sounds like there might be a little room for negotiating?? using trans as the barganing point(maybe)

Welcome back to the US! My son just completed a tour in Afganistan. I have a 1433 about the same age. They are great little tractors. Made by Iseki (hope I spelled that right) in Japan for MF. Mine has the 8X8 shuttle and a loader. Handiest little tractor I have ever owned. The price quoted might be a little high, but that is a very low hour tractor and knowing its history might be worth something.
