Hello all,
I purchased a 1994 John Deere 1070 with 440 loader yesterday at a country club auction. I talked with the guy who ran maintenance for the golf course and he said both of the Deere tractors for sale were good machines and well taken care of.
I searched online for tractor manuals and wound up at this site then realized I had been here in the past. Nice to see a lot of activity in the forums. The JD site has good prices - operators manual for $30 but like everything else these days I want it right away and went for the two-day shipping option.
Now that I have my tractor the next order of business is to find a house with some acres; I guess most people do it the other way around. I did have 27 acres and a Ford Jubilee back in the 80's and have always looked for a reason to go back to living that way. The 1070 doesn't look right on my 60 x 120 foot lot but I am keeping it at the shop with the excuse I can use it to move snow.
