New member - need your help!

I've been lurking for the past 6 weeks and finally became a member this morning! I really enjoy reading all the opinions on the site.

Here's where your many expertises can help me. I have 12 acres. Initially, I have to burn 10 piles of trees that are 30Lx20Wx15H. Dept of Forestry requires a frontloader on site for this. Renting is too expensive in this area.
Next is:
Leveling 8 acres, discing 10 acres.
Then I will be doing landscaping, driveway work, and building a culvert to jump my creek and get to the back 2 acres. The back 2 acres must repeat all the processes above.

The following tractors w/FELs are being considered:
1. Kubota L2800/3400 (28/34.7hp)
2. Branson 3510 (35hp)
3. Mahindra 2810 / 3015hst (28/30hp)
Prefer HST because of FEL work but gear driven will suffice.

The Kubota dealer is in town. The Branson/Mahindra dealers are within 25 miles. I think I have narrowed the field and would like to hear from everyone that was once in my shoes.

I Can't believe this is the legendary Bob Curry of catamaran racing fame. I have sailed with you a lot off of Dunedin Causeway back in the late '80's.
You will not go wrong with a Kubota, but your list has all good tractors. Like the good folks here have told me, you just have to get the prices and try them all and see which one feels right to you. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Take care and enjoy some time in the woods with your tractor.
