I am a new member and owner. I purchased a YM1610D with a 5 ft. First Choice finish mower and their 4 ft. box blade. I have a Howse 24" dirt scoop on the way. I have noticed when i use my mower that the 3pt lift arms are rubbing the tires and so is the dirt scoop that a friend has loaned me. My rims are turned out. The pins on the attachments are turned in. I tuightened the turn buckles almost all the way but still have the rubbing. It gets worse as i raise the attachment. When i do not have an attacment hooked up the lift arms spread to the tires and the sway chains have spenty of slack. What can i do? Wheel spacers? Different lift arms? I dont want to damage the tires. They are in great shape.

Ok question here, Are you saying that with the impliment hooked up, both lower lift arms ar touching the tires, or that one of the arms touches a tire due to side to side play?

If both arms touch, and you have the pins turned in, and the wheels turned out, there are only a few options left.

Either modify your lift arms or buy a set to modify. A longer set will lower your lift capacity slightly, but may give you needed clearance. A curved or bent lift arm may accomplish the same thing, with the weight still closer to the tractor.

I have also seen adapters that people have made that changes the lifting point on the arm, as well as modifications to the impliment to change its hookup point.

I'm sure other will chime in with many other ideas as well, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Are these turf tires/rims? Generally turfs are wider than ags.

"I tuightened the turn buckles almost all the way but still have the rubbing." If you are referring to the turn buckles on the sway chains, something doesn't add up. If you remove all side motion in the implement and the lower arms still rub the tires, you need to post a picture for diagnosis. the hitch pins on those implements are just not that wide apart, especially if turned in, as you say. If you cannot remove all side play, then your sway chains are too long. Of course you need some sideplay for freedom in full lifting range.

I have too much sway. Sorry i was trying to be short with my question. It has a lot of sway, 7" plus on each side. I will see if i can get a picture of my setup and attach it. I am a little behind in class when it comes to the part names of the 3pt hitch assembly.

If you have tightened the turn buckles as far as they will go and you still have 7" of sway, you need to remove some links in the sway chain. With the turn buckle adjusted all the way out, start removing links in the chain until the lift arms just clear the tires. But be sure not to remove so many links that you can't attach the implements you are using.
