Iseki TL2700
So new to forum. Based in Midlands UK.

I am soon to be in receipt of replecement tractor, a TL2700 with grass tyres to be mainly used to pull a finishing mower on football pitches at sports club where I work as well as general haulage duties using trailer. Probably only ever have it in two modes drive to point of use and then drop mower engage pto and use. In fulness of time may get a flail mower.

Previously used a 1947 Grey Fergie with P3 conversion which finally gave up the ghost. Leaked like a sieve, smoked, used oil so not very environmentally friendly. Needs a complete engine rebuild especially when it seems to have thrown a bearing or summat. It was a good honest and simple to operate machine will be sad to see it go but needs must as I need a working tool.

Anyhoo sourced a TL2700 4wd locally.

Some may say not the best idea but its done now but general concensus appear to be solid machines if looked after. Possibly over engineered for my needs but needed HP. Does jump out of third occasionally but will circle back to that at another time.

I have trawled the forum and got loads of pointers and info regarding operation and use.

I have downloaded an operators manual for the TE4270 for free which appear to have the nearest instructions for operation to the TL. All the nobs and buttons appear the same except maybe the PTO which has a four speed H selector rather than a two speed on the TE.

I seem to be able to source a manual from Belgium at a price but will wait until I have had a chance to comprehensibely examine it as exact specification details on differing sites vary.

The thing is is that I realise (by emailing Iseki UK prior to purchase) that the TL series is a 'grey import' to the UK so sourcing parts etc may require some nimble footwork. Although I have found a dealer nearby who says happy to look at it if required but it maybe they all say that.

So finally to two initial questions.

Does anyone know what region(s) the TL range was originally marketed.

Also anyone in the UK or Eire owners of said machine or series who can advise or recommend UK based sources of parts etc of the TL range.

TIA

Now in ownership of TL2700. I guess cos its a 4WD its actually a TL2700F.

Been over it looks ok. Previous owner seems to have swapped out oil but not filter.

Fun bit is that everything is in Japanese so identifying filters etc is a challenge.

I appear to be able to source a filter set for the TL2700 from Tracpartz in the Netherlands but ideally would like to find equivalent in UK from from someone like Baldwins.

I am still looking for the engine id on the block as I am confused if its a Isuzu 3AG1 (as stated by TractorData) or a E3AG1 or if in fact if there is a difference.

Does anyone know.

Edited later.

Further thrashing around has led me back to the Southern-Global.com site which has a filter kit FK-TSL listed that appears compatible to the TL2700 and TL2700F (well its listed in the Vehicles tab for the product) it also shows the engine as a E3AG1.

By pulling the oil filter product code of 6913-240-804-0 from that site and using that to cross reference to Baldwin filters it throws up Baldwin Filter B7139.

This I can source in the UK for under a tenner.

Just to confuse things Amazon.com lists the B7139 as a replacement for ISUZU filter 8944637151.

Cross referencing this Isuzu filter gives me the Baldwin B131 which a shorter filter. Diameters etc are the same.

Maybe I am labouring the point but I have to presume the incorrect filter is not a good idea cos of oil flow and pressure.

So (subject to me looking harder tomorrow at work) is it the E3AG1 engine in the TL2700 not just 3AG1 assuming that is a different engine and not a typo on various websites. That should read as a question.

Has anyone had the same experience re the TL2700 and can advise if I am on the correct trail.
