Tractor
Deutz-allis 5215
Hi, new member here with a question right off the bat. I bought a Deutz-allis 5215 compact tractor a while back, and for the life of me I can't get the right/left sway out of the 3 point when I attach the implements. I have made numerous adjustments and nothing seems to work...the lift arms sway easily and rub against the rear tires. Each lower lift arm, the right and left, are missing some chains. Does anyone know if this is the problem? Is there any way to stabilize and get rid of the sway? Thanks for any help.

Like jim said you just need a set of sway chains added on the back. This is actually fairly common problem with running tractors set up for ag use and are using compact tractor implements. Since CUTs are generally narrower they put the studs for the lift arms closer so they could fit. With ag tractors they cause a lot of slop and sway with the implement.

A set of Sway chains with a turnbuckle system should fix your problem. Here's a couple links to give you an idea.

I had this same problem when I first bought my Kubota L3000DT. I was using an 500 pound old Mott flail mower and every time I would be on an unleveled surface the two bottom stabilizing arms one would rub on the inside of one of my back tires. I can tell how I fixed mine. You have to get your tractor on a level surface to adjust it. 24_3PointHitchTractorGraphi.jpg Look at the photo I provided. Center your 3 point hitch and then you need to adjust and tighten your stabilizing arms the exactly the same, make sure they are very tight. so there is no play. These arms keep your implement from moving right or left. the right one keeps it from rubbing your left wheel and your left one your right. after adjusting them in the center of the back of your tractor they should have locking nuts that you screw up tight to the adjustment to keep them from vibrating loose. You also have to do the same with the lift arm leveling assembly If your tractor doesn't have the adjustable stabilizing arms like the ones in the photo, they may look like chains with a turn buckle, they work the same. Hope this helps.
