New Member With A New (1986) to me Tractor

Hello all,

Have looked around on this forum for info for years. I just finally joined now that I got a new tractor that will need some work but is solid. The tractor is a 1986 Ford 445A. It is in very good shape except for 2 things wrong. 1. The shuttle trans has a problem. 2. The 3 point hitch does not raise. Once I figure these problems out, I feel that I have a tractor for life. This tractor only has 1300 hours on it and it was kept indoors most of its life. When it was used it had tree spade on it, which was sold prior to me purchasing the tractor. The owner wanted to junk this tractor due to the problems. I just couldn't let that happen!!
