B7800
Hello
I spent hours on this site looking at old discussions while deciding which tractor to buy. Thanks to everyone for all the useful information.I tried to post a couple of times before but it just signed me off so I'm not going to write too much until I find out if this works.(Tractor is a pleasure to operate compared to my old IH 300 utilities with manual steering and no brakes!!)

The problem was you didn't have your new tractor yet and thus weren't given the "super secret" sign-on code!!:D

Welcome to TBN! I did the same thing as you and browsed around here for months without becoming a member. I wanted to hold out on becoming a member until I got my new tractor and make some big announcement. But I just couldn't wait any longer. I had to join the fun. So here I am, some 300+ posts later and still don't yet have my tractor. But it's coming very soon!

Once again, welcome.
AND POST SOME PICS, eh!!!!!!!!:D

Congrats on the new machine. I believe you'll be very happy with the 7800. It appears to be a real workhorse that will help you get a lot done. I was all set to buy a 7800 after trying it at the dealer when the dealer threw a B3030 with rebate at me and I wound up getting the B3030.

Once again, congrats on your purchase.

I deliberated for a while over whether to get a 7800 or 3030 but eventually I had to make a decision or I'd still be using the old IH. My main stumbling blocks were:
i)none of my local dealers a 3030 in stock that I could actually sit on and try out.
ii)I'd started out looking at a used B1700 but a few thousand more would get me a new 7510, a few hundred more a 7610, a bit more a7800.......well I had to draw the line somewhere.Thought of trading 4HP for the goodies on the 2630 but wasn't really sure how much power I'd need and didn't want to come up short. There will be times when I'll wish I'd gone for the 3030, but the 7800 seems to be fine for the work I've thrown at it so far.(moving a bunch of mud and replacing it with 45 tons of A-gravel so our horses have at least one little spot to stand that's not ankle deep in mud!)

Sorry I can't offer any ideas about your difficulties with the forum, hang in there. When I first joined there were unexplained happenings for me too but after a short time, even though I don't recall doing anything differently, everything started to work fine. To this day I have no idea if it was the nut behind the wheel, my connection or what but hopefully it will eventually smooth out for you too.

Sounds like you're already finding out what the 7800 will do for you. I'd be willing to bet you'll be amazed at what it will be able to handle. While I certainly don't regret getting the B3030, except for the horrendous seat which Kubota took care of, I would be perfectly happy with the 7800. As I mentioned, the 7800 really impressed me when I tried it at the dealer, who also sold landscaping materials which allowed me to give it a good workout. You'll be patting yourself on the back soon for making such a wise choice if you aren't already.

Fjord - Welcome to TBN. The B7800/LA402 is one awesome setup. I am totally satisfied with mine. You will always be finding new uses for it.

Welcome and congratulatiins on your B7800 purchase. I bought my new B7800 in Michigan a month ago (I live just north of Sault Ste. Marie ON + MI) and now can't imagine why I didn't buy a tractor years ago. I have used mine mostly for skidding trees out of my forest and have already thought that I should have bought a L3130 or another wider and heavier model but I suppose it would never be enough at times.
