I,m in the market for a 3pt hitch tiller for my jd 4300 tractor. Agri Supply here in NC/VA sell a "Tillovator" gear drive. They also sell a King Kutter 48" in tiller. They are priced about $500 apart. I've read good reviews for the King Kutter, however Agri Supply does not have any reviews listed for the Tillovator. Any one have an opinion on either of these tillers? Thanks, dennis80

I have a Land Pride RTR1258 tiller w/ clutch. Great machine! When I opened up new acreage, I pulled a Middle Buster Plow thru, at differing depths and multiple passes. Removed huge rocks I could see, then tilled. Tiller locked up 6 times on first till pass, with clutch engaging and saving busted tines. I rock raked it and removed 12 ton of rock over 2", added manure and re-tilled 4 times. The Land Pride RTR tillers get my vote. They are tough!

Millwood, Thanks for the info regarding your tiller. I will look up that brand/model and see if they are available here in southern Virginia. Wet here today and very very humid. Have a great day. Dennis80

I am using a John Deere 655 3 pt tiller and very pleased with the results. It is built like a tank and cuts through hard clay without issue. It is pricey though - I paid about $800 more for the JD brand than the King Kutter or similar from a farm store.
