Recently purchased a 1977 Satoh S650g tractor. Found my Satoh S550g was underpowered for heavy grass cutting and snow blowing. Hoping the Woods L59 mower I have will mount under the "new" one without too much trouble. What I don't understand is that both tractors have Mazda engines with 60.23 ci. The S550G is rated at 17 hp. while the S650G is rated at 25 HP. How can this be? Harvey in Ontario CANADA

After looking at TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors , I see where there is a .2 difference in ci, but this shouldn't make an 8 hp difference. What does your manual say? Perhaps TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors made a mistake. It happens sometimes.
