Hello all. My name is Tylerand iI am in the market for my first tractor. I have some heavy equipment and tracot experience but am in no way a professional operator. We just bought our own property sized at 7.5 acers with a 1400sq ft house and 40x80 pole barn. The drive is mostly flat and about 250 yards in total length. I am looking for a tractor as my wheeler is not cutting it plowing the drive. Torn between a truck for plowing and smaller tractor for mowing/ground maintenance/unloading pallets of wood pellets. But the drive has a slight drop on the sides and a larger tractor with a loader and attached blade would let me push banks back and stay on gravel. Or get a blower. Then it would be nice to unload pellets from a delivery truck and shuttle them to the barn and house as needed. Mahindras have my eye. The 4010 hst at #4000 pounds with loader plus rear box and or wheel weights looks like it could unload pellets. But my local dealer said they stopped making them. Not seehow true it is. They are getting the new 1500 sseries in soon. All but the loader spec looks ok on them.#1650 at full height. But I'llnever be at full height unloading a truck of pellets. Should only be unloading 4-5 tons a year also. any thoughts on if a slightly smaller tractor would do that?
