Tractor
John Deere 4410
I am a new member. My name is Bill and I have a 2004 John Deere 4410 tractor. I just moved to and live in southeast Michigan just north of Detroit. I have 8 acres and plan to use my tractor for various tasks. I have a problem with my tractor. I have an e-hydro that is not working. I can neither go forward or reverse. I tried to restart to reset but no luck. I checked the connections underneath and everything looks good. The PTO engages. I get a fault code of 1 long and 3 short. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

If you post your question as a new thread in the JD forum, help will be forthcoming as people will see it (as opposed to this 'introduction thread').

Enjoy the site.

Welcome, and first I'd suggest is to have a visit with your local Deere dealer. Ask around 'town' to see if there is one or two that are favorites. With spring planting, this is a busy time for them but would think they'd also want your business.

But also suggest you get the service tech manual. In addition to the operator's manual if that didn't come with your tractor.

And third, stick with the TBN, as you will find very willing and helpful members here.

Thanks for the welcome. I found the fault code chart and it says one long and 3 short means "no drive in either direction". The RESET ACTION says " Error status will reset when both pedal commands return to zero". How do I get the pedal commands to return to zero?

Look for one or the other pedal to "stick" and not return.. some light oil or penetrating oil may loosen it up.

Hope that solves what is wrong.
